OIC decries Iraq's Anbar vehicle bombing


(MENAFN) Saudi-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed deep condemnation to a vehicle blast which struck Iraq on Friday.

A vehicle bomb was detonated in the market district of Al-Qaim west of the Anbar province of Iraq, leaving several fatalities.

The OIC voiced its regret to the terror attack in a statement issued on Saturday by its Secretary General Dr. Yussuf Al-Othaimeen.

In the statement, the official extended OIC's condolences to the Iraqi government and to the families of the victims.

Al-Othaimeen added that the organization stands by the Iraqi government as well as the battle against terrorism and violence.
