(MENAFN) Turkish army and intelligence chiefs held on Saturday a meeting, where they addressed the most recent events on Syria's Idlib.
Defense Minister Hulusi Akar joined the talks with Chief of General Staff Gen. Yasar Guler, Land Forces Commander Umit Dundar, and Intelligence Chief Hakan Fidan.
During the talks at Hatay, a southern border province, the chiefs shed light on the latest developments in the Syrian region and explored efforts to preserve a ceasefire deal.
Akar stated that "all efforts are being made to maintain ceasefire, stability under Sochi agreement. Our close cooperation with Russia continues in this manner."
