Houthi rebels attack Saudi military base

(MENAFN) Yemen's Houthi rebels stated that they launched a drone raid on a Saudi military base in the kingdom's border city of Asir on Friday.

Houthi al-Masirah TV affirmed the attack targeted "the Saudi military leadership and a gathering of Saudi troops," without providing additional information.

Saudi side has yet to remark on the rebels' claim.

The Houthi attack using an explosive-laden drone, if mphasized, was the second of its type in two days after the attack on a parade at the Anad military base in Yemen's southern province of Lahj on Thursday, which murdered not less than six Saudi-backed Yemeni government soldiers and injured 20 others.
