Afghanistan- Mohib, Wang Yi discuss peace process, regional security


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib and Chines Foreign Minister Wang Yi have discussed Afghan owned and led peace process, regional security and bilateral relationship between the two countries, a statement from the National Security Council (NSC) said on Friday.

Mohib thanked the assistance of the government of China with Afghanistan in different areas and termed Beijing's role vital in regional peace and stability.

The Chinese foreign minister stressed over the Afghan led and owned peace process and added peace in Afghanistan may not be possible without direct talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban .

The Chines foreign minister reiterated his country's support to Afghanistan in diverse fields, particularly in peace and reconciliation process.
