Tunisia inks economic, technical pact with China


(MENAFN) Tunisia was announced to have secured on Friday a deal with China, aiming to receive further investments in infrastructure.

Tunisian secretary of state Hatem Ferjani penned the economic and technical cooperation pact with head of China International Development Cooperation Agency, Wang Xiaotao.

Under the agreement, the two countries will see expanded relations while Tunisia will witness stronger investment.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui confirmed that "Tunisia's accession to China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative will certainly open new horizons for bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and China."
