Andy Murray mulls over tennis retirement over unbearable pain

(MENAFN) Scottish Andy Murray might leave his career as a professional tennis player, with a possibility for the Australia Open to be "his last tournament."

Due to his "daily pain", the 31-year-old player could skip Wimbledon this year since his anguish is becoming "unbearable".

"I have pretty much done everything that I could to try and get my hip feeling better. It hasn't helped loads," the three-time Grand Slam champion announced during a press conference.

Murray added that "I'm not sure I am able to play through the pain for another four or five months," noting: "but, could this be my last tournament? There's a chance of that, for sure."
