According to police officers, the rapper was shot in Puerto Rico's capital Juan early Thursday in a tragedy which shook the world.
Police announced the LGBT advocate to have been pierced in bullets eight times in the streets of the capital while riding a motorbike.
"There are no words that describe the feeling we have and the pain that causes us to know that a person with so many dreams has to go," stated Fret's manager Eduardo Rodriguez.
"We must all unite in these difficult times, and ask for much peace for our beloved Puerto Rico," the manager added.
