'Soft Kitty' Sheldon's comfort song exists in reality

Soft Kitty is Sheldon's comfort song when he falls ill. However, this song exists in the real world, or at least a variation of it does.

Titled Warm Kitty, it is a 1930s song by Edith Newlin.

The producer Bill Prady had revealed that his daughter would sing the Soft Kitty song in pre-school after one of her teachers heard it while in Australia.


The origin of 'bazinga', Sheldon's favorite catchphrase

Bazinga is Sheldon's favorite catchphrase and there's even a species of bees with the name he popularized on the show.

However, it was included in the show, in Season 2's finale following a silly prank from writer Stephen Engel.

Engel pulled a prank using an old grapefruit, according to producer Bill Prady.

Every time someone fell for it, he said 'Bazinga' instead of 'Gotcha'.
