Amir of Qatar holds talks with Iraqi pres.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Jan 10 (KUNA) -- Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-thani discussed on Thursday with Iraqi President Barham Saleh ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countires in economy, finance, envistment, infrastructure, tourism, and reconstruction of Iraq.

During official talks held in Doha, a number of regional and international subjects of mutual concerns were discussed, Qatari news agency said in a statement.

Sheikh Tamim welcomed the Iraqi President and his accompanying delegation, assuring the visit will enhance and strengthen the brotherly relations between Qatar and Iraq, the agency added.

On his part, President Barham Saleh invited Qatar's Amir to visit Iraq and Sheikh Tamim welcomed the invitation.

The meeting was attended by a number of Qatari ministers and the Iraqi president's accompanying delegation. (end) nnd.nhq
