The Cultural Village Foundation Katara has announced the opening of registration for the Fath Al Khair 4 marine voyage which will set sail this time from Istanbul at the end of June.
The voyage, organised by Katara in its fourth edition will finally reach Tunisia after docking in several harbours in Europe and North Africa such as Greece, Albania, Croatia, Italy, France, Spain, Morocco and Algeria.
The Fath Al Khair voyage aims to revive the old maritime traditions of the Qatari sailors by cruising around the world using traditional dhows and ancient maritime tools, which also gives the young generations an exposure on their ancestors' marine lifestyle.
After the first successful voyage of Fath Al Khair in 2013, captained by Nokhaza Hassan Al Kaabi cruising around the Arabian Gulf states, Katara decided to launch the second and third editions, all successful and fruitful.
The Katara Beach administration has stressed that all candidates for the Fath Al Khair 4 must all be physically fit.
