(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Jan 8 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary-General Ahmad Abul Gheit on Tuesday discussed with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita the latest Arab developments.
The Arab League said in a statement that the Arab and international efforts to resolve the crises in Syria, Libya and Yemen were reviewed during the meeting, as well as the joint Arab efforts to support the Palestinian cause and defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Abul Gheit and Bourita discussed various aspects of joint Arab action within the framework of the League of Arab States, particularly in the context of the preparations for the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit in Beirut on January 20 and the first Arab-European Summit in Egypt on February 24 and 25, it added.
It pointed out that they discussed ways to develop the Arab-African partnership in the context of the strategic relations distinguished between the two sides. (end) mfm.aa
