Tunisia sees sharp tourism rebound in 45 percent surge


(MENAFN) Tunisian tourism revenues reached USD1.36 billion last year, with the central bank showing a 45 percent surge.

Tourism in Tunisia has been flourished in 2018, as the country broke its record when it comes to guests with 8.3 million arrivals.

According to official data, the figures indicate a significant rebound in the Tunisian tourism sector after the country was struck in 2015 with two terrorist attacks.

Data also unveiled the tourism sector to be amount for 8 percent for the gross domestic product (GDP) in the country.
