Turkey targets 15 percent surge in housewares industry


(MENAFN) Turkey was announced to have set a target to register a 15 percent jump in its house wares industry this year.

The target was unveiled by Burak Onder, head of Turkish Home and Kitchenware Manufacturers and Exporters Association (EVSID), during a news conference held in Istanbul on Monday.

EVSID chief confirmed that "we will focus on market diversification and different marketing instruments in order to achieve this goal of some $3 billion."

Home and kitchen wares, the chief noted, recorded a 9.8 percent surge while gaining over USD2.5 billion last year, compared to the previous year.
