Doha:The third annual Mahaseel Festival at the Cultural Village Foundation Katara came to an end successfully yesterday.

The Mahaseel market will remain open to the public on weekends until the end of March, organisers have announced.

The festival that focused on agriculture in Qatar provided a platform for local producers of fresh vegetables and dairy products to sell directly to the public.

Several public figures, dignitaries and officials from different government bodies had visited the festival during its run.

The festival was organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment covering sectors of livestock and agriculture in Qatar.

Families who visited the festival enjoyed taking part in many educational and entertaining activities aimed toward raising awareness on the importance of agriculture and the best practices in this field.
