Washington, Jan 3, 2019, SPA -- Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America said that the Kingdom has made great and ongoing efforts to combat the recruitment of child soldiers in Yemen.
He reiterated the call for launching a global initiative to combat the recruitment of children in any battles, starting with Yemen where Al-Houthis have been accused of violating rights of children by recruiting them militarily.
"Al-Houthi militia's recruitment of child soldiers in Yemen is a terrible crime that cannot be tolerated anymore. Al-Houthi militias kidnap children from homes and schools to engage them in fierce battles, violating international laws, norms and the most basic rules of mercy and humanity."
