Qatar- Katara holds variety of cultural activities

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara will hold a rich variety of entertainment and cultural events and activities, which promote Katara as a cultural and tourist destination for residents as well as tourists in Qatar.

Katara presents History in Color Exhibition by Kuwaiti artist Dr Eiman Tohma Al Shammari. The exhibition will kick off today until January 14.

In cooperation with the Embassy of Algeria, Katara opens the unique ‘Kingdom of Geometry' exhibition for visitors from tomorrow at building 19.

Algerian artist Mohammed Talhaoui reveals the undiscovered beauty of the Islamic art decoration in a unique way displaying the ornamental language in his artworks. Talhaoui says that the objective of this exhibition is to share the participants an amazing and unpublished discovery. 'Here, before our eyes, through the geometrical ornamental art, the secrets of the universal laws are unfolded and expressed in a beautiful and perfect way, he explains.

During his exhibition, Talhaoui will be conducting two workshops for different age groups on Friday and Saturday January 4-5 in morning and evening times.

Coffee lovers will enjoy the Kaffeinated 3 event presented by the Kaffeinated Festival in collaboration with Katara, starting tomorrow at the Katara Esplanade from 12pm to midnight.

Nearly 70 exhibitors from various coffee shops in Qatar will display their different flavours of coffee, offering a variety of tastes to the public and seekers of authentic flavours.
