Kuwait affirms importance of cooperating in aviation among Arab countries


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, Dec 28 (KUNA) -- Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety and Air Transport Affairs (Eng.) Emad Al-Juluwi affirmed the importance of cooperation between Arab countries to enhance civil aviation sector, to make it part of country's role in the overall development.
In a statement, Al-Juluwi told KUNA, on Thursday on the sidelines of his participation in 60th meeting of the Executive Board of the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC), held in Rabat, that it is important that the board lays its plans and strategies of cooperation between Arab countries to improve such vital sector.
The board discussed many issues regarding the aviation sector, mainly Safety and Air Transport in the Arab region and the activation of the technical committees to empower the sector.
The Arab Civil Aviation Commission is an Arab specialized organization affiliated to the Arab League that aims to tighten cooperation and coordination among the Arab countries in civil aviation and develop this field. It was created in 1996 when its founding convention went into force.
