Turkey has proven its power and political will in the Middle East, the leader of the opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahceli, said, Trend reports via Turkish media.
Bahceli said Turkey has become a world power.
Touching on the issue of launching a new anti-terrorist operation in Syria's north, Bahceli noted that the Turkish people hope the armed forces of the country will launch a military operation against the terrorists of PYD/YPG, which is the Syrian wing of PKK.
On Dec. 12, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the Turkish Armed Forces would launch a new military operation in northern Syria against PYD/YPG.
Erdogan claimed there were American soldiers in the detachments of the terrorists in Syria.
"Despite the US promised Turkey that it would not support PYD/YPG, the Syrian wing of the PKK, the US did not keep its word," Erdogan said.
