(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Dec 25 (KUNA) -- Three people were killed and nine others wounded when three suicide bombers attacked Libya's Foreign Ministry in Tripoli on Tuesday, according to a security source.
One of the three attackers was killed by the ministry's guards while the two others blew themselves up, the source said in a press statement.
Libya's security forces cordoned off the area and took control of all the buildings around the ministry, as all employees were ordered to evacuate the buildings immediately, the source added.
Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammad Al-Taher was not inside the building during the attack.
The northern African country has been torn apart by power struggles since an uprising in 2011. (end) ksj.mt
