(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim received on Thursday (Mrs.) Michelle Alliot-Marie, Chairperson of the Committee on European Relations with the Arab Peninsula in the European Parliament.
Alliot-Marie, currently on an official visit to the country, was accompanied by a delegation during the meeting with the parliament speaker.
The two sides underlined the solid ties bonding the National Assembly with the European Parliament and the necessity to boost coordination for serving mutual interests. They also discussed regional and international topics.
MP Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Kanderi, the head of the honorary mission, MP Khalaf Al-Enezi and the State of Kuwait Ambassador to Belgium, head of the mission to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jassem Al-Bedaiwi, attended the meeting.
Alliot-Marie and her entourage arrived in the country on Tuesday on a four-day official visit. (end) fn.rk
