(MENAFN) Chinese President Xi Jinping has demanded the solid implementation of reforms on Beijing"s terms, without offering specific measures.
The president has asked for support for the state economy and development of the private sector, and said the country would enhance efforts at opening up and guarantee the implementation of major reforms.
China"s significant support of its extensive state sector is a point of controversy with the United States.
Xi said: "we must, unswervingly, reinforce the development of the state economy while, unswervingly, encouraging, supporting and guiding the development of the non-state economy."
