Afghanistan: 55 militants die in army raids in 24 hours


(MENAFN) Officials declared that a total of 55 militants have died in Afghan air attacks in the restive country over the past 24 hours.

The army confirmed that in the latest attacks, military jets targeted Taliban hideouts in Aryub Zazai district of the eastern Paktia province in the wee hours of Tuesday, leaving over 13 militants dead.

The air attacks, had devastated a Taliban vehicle and badly affected their bunkers as well, according to the army.

Similarly, six militants, with Mullah Rasoul whose a Taliban shadow judge for the restive Faryab province among them, have died in airstrikes against Taliban hideout in Dawlat Abad district of northern Faryab province on Monday. €ƒ
