U.S. petroleum exports see growth in recent years

(MENAFN) U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said the country's petroleum exports have increased in recent years.

According to the EIA, U.S. petroleum exports have become an important factor in global oil markets.

U.S. petroleum product exports have increased over the past several years, reaching 5.2 million barrels per day (b/d) in 2017, the EIA added.

U.S. crude oil exports, in particular, have increased sharply since crude oil export restrictions were revoked in late 2015, reaching 1.1 million b/d in 2017.
