(MENAFN) Football legends from Europe voiced their absolute support to the FIFA World Cup set to be held in 2022 in Qatar.
European footballers who were involved with Qatar affirmed that the world needs to stop having fears over the Gulf country hosting the major tournament on November 21st, 2022.
Former Barcelona star Xavi Hernandez stressed that "I think the country is ready," adding: "You can see that (the) stadiums are amazing. Everybody is surprised a lot about how Qatar is organizing everything."
The statement was made by Hernandez during the design introduction ceremony for Lusail Stadium, the venue for the opening and final matches of the tournament.
