Putin orders government to "take charge" of rap music

(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin has requested the government to "take charge" of rap music after several concerts were cancelled across the country.

Attempts to prohibit rap were "impossible", therefore the state should play a greater role in controlling it.

The Ministry of Culture needs to look for the best way to "navigate" youth concerts.

The president's remarks come after Russian rapper Husky was arrested after some of his concerts were cancelled.
