(MENAFN) On Sunday, Police in the Belgian capital Brussels used teargas and anti-riot vehicles to separate a huge number of far-right and anti-migration demonstrators near the EU constructions.
Approximately 1,000 demonstrators crowded at Schuman Square to protest against the UN Migration Pact, contracted in an international conference in Morocco earlier this month.
Demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Charles Michel, the group also chanted slogans against the government and migration.
As the police attempted to separate the crowd with teargas and water cannon vehicles, the demonstrators tried to enter the EU Commission building.
