Qatar- Al Qadi shines on Daydreamer EC as Power Steel win team event

Popular rider Saeed Nasser Al Qadi and his bay gelding Daydreamer EC captured the top honours on the opening day of the fourth round of Hathab Series yesterday.

At the Qatar Equestrian Federation's (QEF) Outdoor Arena, the promising 25-year-old added one more award to his collection when he completed the one round jump-off in 30.48 secs astride his favourite horse.

The victory made him richer by QR5,000.

Fiji, with another talented Qatari rider Khalid Mohammed Al Emadi in the saddle, was the second fastest and won QR4,000 in prize money. Fiji completed the same task in 32.13.

Jaber Rashid Al Amri, who guided Canavaro De Muze (ET) to complete the round in 32.94 secs, booked the remaining spot on the podium and won a prize cheque worth QR3,000.

The team event, which was run consequently, was won by Team Power Steel while Al Salam International were placed second. Team Al Shaqab won the third place.

Earlier, in the Small Tour, young rider Tamader Said Al Marri excelled on Lucky Lady to win the top prize of his category, QR2,500.

Al Marri's 10-year-old bay mare completed the round in 44.28.

Viking D and Khalid Hamad Al Attiya finished the task in 45.65 to win QR2,000 while Khalifa Abdulla Al Khaldi rode Dusty in a routine which lasted 47.19 secs.

Al Khaldi walked away with a prize cheque of QR1,500 as all three podium winners collected 65 points each.

The 12-round series is organised by the QEF and Al Shaqab.
