Kuwaiti security delegation back home from Turkey


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- A senior-level delegation from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior and the National Guard concluded a fruitful visit to Turkey and came back on Friday.
The delegation, led by Undersecretary of the Ministry Lt.-Gen. Esam Al-Nahham and Undersecretary of the National Guard Lt.-Gen. Staff Hashem Al-Refa'ie, met Turkish Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu yesterday to review the implementation of the agreements on security cooperation.
The meeting, attended by Kuwait Ambassador to Turkey Ghassan Al-Zawawi, dealt with the bilateral relations and cooperation in such areas as natural disaster and emergency management, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior.
During the meeting, Soylu lauded the exemplary relations between his country and Kuwait.
On behalf of Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Al-Nahham expressed condolences over the victims of the train accident in Ankara yesterday.
The delegation also met Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior Muhterem Ince and Board Chairman of Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey (AFAD) Dr. Mehmet Gulluoglu to discuss the mechanisms of response to emergencies and natural disasters. (end) am.tb.gb
