Tunisia, Dec. 13 (Petra)-- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi along with his Tunisian counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui stressed that Amman and Tunisia are keen to promote ties in various fields of cooperation.
In a press conference in Tunisia, Safadi condemned the Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank, raiding Palestinian national institutions and the incitement against Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, describing such move by the Israelis as a violation of the international law, which will undermine security and stability in the Middle East region.
The two top diplomats co-chaired the second session of the political consultation committee, as the two ministers stressed the need to move all obstacles facing private sectors of both countries.
They also stressed the need to support Jordanian-Tunisian Joint Business Council that was established in 2016.
Jordan's role in preserving Islamic and Christian holy sited in Jerusalem, fighting terrorism, Libya and the Syrian crisis were figured high during the meeting.
The ministers reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Arab summit, which will be hosted by Tunisia in March, 2019.
