Iran urges EU to make practical acts on SPV development

(MENAFN) The European Union (EU) ought to introduce practical actions in order to fulfill its pledge to create a special purpose vehicle (SPV), suggested a top Iranian official.

The statement was made by Hossein Amir Abdollahian, top foreign policy advisor to the Iranian parliament speaker, while speaking to Tarja Cronberg, member of the Executive Board of the European Leadership Network.

The senior Iranian official praised the EU, expressing gratitude for defending his country against the U.S. sanctions the Islamic Republic is suffering from.

However, Abdollahian voiced regret over the holdup being witnessed in the development of the SPV, saying that it is unacceptable.
