(MENAFN) The Saudi government is backed once again by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after it was condemned for the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
The Israeli prime minister told reporters that the fury directed towards the Saudi government ought to avoid affecting the stability of Saudi Arabia.
The murder of the Saudi journalist, the prime minister emphasized, was "balanced by the importance of Saudi Arabia and the role it plays in the Middle East."
Netanyahu suggested that "what happened in Istanbul is nothing short of horrific. But it's balanced by the importance of Saudi Arabia and the role it plays in the Middle East."
He added: "because if Saudi Arabia would be destabilized, the world, not the Middle East, will be destabilized."
