(MENAFN) Houthi rebels have proclaimed a truce agreement with the Yemeni government and extraction from the port city of Al-Hudaydah during UN-brokered peace talks in Sweden.
Houthi negotiator Jamal Amer told Anadolu Agency, "We agreed on an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of all sides in Al-Hudaydah under a UN committee's supervision".
He stated the management of the city's ports will be left to the UN.
The UN-brokered discussions started in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, on December 6 in an attempt to stop the 4-year military war in Yemen.
