Turkey sees boost in milk output


(MENAFN) Turkish was found to have recorded in October a 2.3 percent increase in the output of its cow milk on annual basis.

The Turkish statistical authority TurkStat showed the country to have produced 774,681 tons of cow milk in October, compared to 756,970 tons seen during the same period last year.

However, Turkey registered a 3.3 percent decline in its drinking milk during the period, as it produced 135,992 tons.

TurkStat unveiled: "cheese production from sheep, goat, buffalo, and mixed milk was 1,445 tons, down 19.7 percent compared to the same month last year."
