Iran, Azerbaijan to enhance border's security to combat drug trafficking


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Chiefs of the Iranian and Azeri border police contracted a collaboration pact to enhance security at mutual borders, IRNA reported.

Brigadier General Qassem Rezaei from Iran and Colonel General Elchin Isa Oglu Guliyev from Azerbaijan contracted the pact. According to the pact, both parties will enhance exchange of intelligence and collaboration in combat drug trafficking along the borders.

The agreement was signed on the margins of a meeting of border guard commanders of Iran and Azerbaijan in Baku.
