(MENAFN) Algeria's Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel was unveiled in a foreign minister statement to have met with China's newly elected Ambassador to Algeria Li Lianhe.
The visit comes as both Algeria and China started witnessing stronger ties to turn into a comprehensive strategic partnership over a few years.
The two sides have bolstered their ties even more after Algeria took part in the major Chinese Belt and Road Initiative in 2018.
The purpose behind the B&R Initiative is the establishment of a trade and infrastructure network which links Asia with Europe and Africa.
