Australia sentences Sri Lankan teenager over child assault

(MENAFN) The Australian Associated Press revealed that a babysitter who sexually assaulted two children, aged 7, in Perth, Australia, has been handed five -and-a-half years sentence in jail, and is facing deportation to Sri Lanka after finishing his term.

Dayanthan Stanley Mohanraj, aged 19, was found guilty after a trial of four counts of sexually penetrating a child in 2016, when he was taking care of children on a regular basis.

Stanley Mohanraj revealed one boy pornography and later sexually assaulted the boy in a public toilet, then threatened him of murder if he confessed to his parents.

He separately assaulted the same boy in a playroom and on another day attacked both children while they were playing, ordering them to keep quiet about it, according to the West Australian District Court.
