Iraqi jets strike Daesh in Syria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Iraqi F-16 fighter jets struck hideouts for the notorious group, "Daesh," on Syrian territories, the Iraqi military announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The jets raided the hideouts in Sosa close to the Syrian-Iraqi borders, it said, indicating that two positions manned by 41 members of the group were directly hit and destroyed.

Iraqi warplanes have recently carried out several of such strikes on the so-called Islamic State strongholds on Syrian territories, in coordination with Damascus. (end) ah.rk
