UK coastguards rescue 6 migrants

(MENAFN) Six suspected migrants have been saved from a dinghy in the Channel and shifted ashore at Dover.

Coastguards and a lifeboat team were dispatched at around 03:30 GMT to a small boat six miles off the Kent coast, in the Dover Strait inshore traffic lane.

The Home Office declared that the migrants, including one woman, alleged that they were Indians.

At least 100 migrants, most of whom are said to be Iranian, snuck into the Channel from France in November.
