Israel detains 337,000 Palestinians since First Intifada in 1987


(MENAFN) Israel has detained 337,000 Palestinians since the start of the First Intifada in 8 December 1987, the Palestine Prisoners' Centre for Studies stated yesterday.

In spite of the detentions, the centre's spokesperson Riyadh Al-Ashqar stated, the occupation has unsuccessful to accomplish its goals of overwhelming the Palestinian resistance and its efforts to liberate Palestine.

He added that Israel has detentions Palestinian on an almost daily basis.

According to the report, occupation forces detained 210,000 Palestinians between 1987 and 1994, when the Palestinian Authority was formed.
