(MENAFN) Police declared that a group of 43 illegal immigrants, including a woman and a child, were left overnight on an isolated beach in the northwestern coast of Cyprus island.
They added that the immigrants reached on a small fishing boat which had been under surveillance by police since late on Friday night.
However, when the skipper of the fishing boat recognized he had been followed, he turned away and sailed to a Turkish Cypriot village where he dropped 43 people.
Police confirmed that the immigrants, whom are from Syria, were found by police later.
