(MENAFN) On Monday, Israeli army forces detained 16 Palestinians in overnight attacks conducted across the occupied West Bank, according to the military.
The persons were arrested for "suspected involvement in popular terrorist activities", the army stated without explaining the nature of the activities.
They have since been jailed into custody for additional investigation, according to the same statement.
In the meantime, the Israeli army emphasized it has launched a manhunt for perpetrators of a shooting attack near the Ofra settlement in the central West Bank late Sunday.
