Egypt, WB ink USD1b agreement

(MENAFN) Egypt was able to secure a USD1 billion pact with the World Bank (WB) for the country's upcoming stage of its economic reform plan.

The Egyptian reform plan is targeting the opening of potentials for the country's citizens and their living standards through supporting the private sector and boosting government performance.

The two sides inked the Private Sector Development for Inclusive Growth development policy financing during the Africa 2018 Forum, which was hosted in Sharm El Sheikh.

Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr stated: "our aim is to create more and better opportunities for Egyptians, and promote inclusive and sustainable development; our partnership with the World Bank is accelerating our efforts towards that goal."
