Saudi Arabia increase Pakistan's Hajj quota by 5000 for 2019


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement on Sunday, increasing quota of Pakistani pilgrims Hajj by 5000 for 2019. Pakistani Hujjaj will be given e-visas as per the agreement.

Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson said that an agreement has been signed in this regard by Minister of Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri and his Saudi counterpart.

As per the agreement, more than 184,000 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj next year while 35000 pilgrims of Sindh will benefit from this scheme.

Moreover, it has also been decided to include Pakistani Hujjaj in Road to Makkah project in phases. The process of verification and immigration of the pilgrims will be conducted at Karachi airport.

The decision to abolish 2000 saudi Riyal fee will be made after holding consultation with Khadim-e-Haramayn al-Sharifayn.

Pir Noorul Haq Qadri expressed gratification to the Saudi authorities.
