(MENAFN) Afghan security forces commenced an operation in Faryab, a northern province in Afghanistan, leaving three terrorists dead.
During the raid, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) also caused the destruction of several bases belonging to the terrorists.
The news was announced on Saturday by provincial police spokesman Karim Urush during an interview with Xinhua.
Urush unveiled that the ANDSF "launched a military operation in remote Andkhoy and neighboring Qurghan districts on Thursday after militants tried to attack the districts and Aqina bordering town at the area."
