(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The government of Sindh has withdrawn the notification banning the entry of the Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen in the province.

In a short notification of the Sindh Home Department, it said: 'This department's order of even number dated 07-12-2018 u/s 5 (1)(a) and (c) of the West Pakistan Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960 is hereby withdrawn with immediate effect.'

A day earlier, the Sindh government had banned the entry of the PTM chief in the province.

According to an earlier notification of the Sindh Home Department issued on Friday, the inspector general police (IGP) Sindh had informed that Manzoor Pashteen was staying in Karachi, in the vicinity of Ali Town falling in the jurisdiction of Sachal Police Station, Malir, for the last five days. The police chief had informed that the PTM chief was holding public meetings in the jurisdictions of Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sachal, Site Super Highway and Industrial Area police stations and provoking the public through his inflammable and hate-speech against the state and law enforcement agencies posing a threat to peace within the area of district Malir, Karachi. The notification said the police chief has proposed ban on entry of Manzoor Pashteen in Sindh in best interest of the general public and peaceful atmosphere.

Therefore, the notification said, a ban has been imposed on entry of the PTM chief in all parts of Sindh for 90 days under the Maintenance of Public Order 1960.
