Tunis, December 08, 2018, SPA -- Speaker of the Arab Parliament Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami stressed his keenness on continuing the Parliament's role in supporting Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.
The Speaker said in a statement following his election for the Arab Parliament's presidency for a second term, that the Palestinian cause is a top priority, and during the last two years, the Palestine committee was formed and action plans were formulated to address a number of related issues, including Jerusalem, the Israeli barrier and repeated attacks against the Palestinian people.
He also said that the second important issue is combating terrorism in all its forms, pointing out that Arab communities are exposed to many threats from terrorist groups that threaten their security and safety.
