Honduras: surge in lawyers' killings after new murder

(MENAFN) A Honduran lawyer has been cold-bloodedly shot dead in a restaurant near the Supreme Court on Monday.

Only 10 percent of lawyer's killings are subjected to penalty in the country.

The Honduran Human Rights Commission declared that 153 lawyers have been killed in Honduras within 16 years, as 90 percent of those lawsuits have slipped without penalty.

The national commission confirmed the slaying of lawyer Reynaldo Barahona.
