Qatar- QSE's main index closes at 10,364.54 points

Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) benchmark index gained 36.06 points, or 0.35 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,364.54 points.

Trading value during last week increased by 93.68 percent to reach QR2.08bn compared to QR1.07bn.

Trading volume increased by 148.76 percent to reach 63.20 million shares, as against 25.40 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 67.79 percent, to reach 34,001 transactions as compared to 20,264 transactions.

Market cap rose by 0.79 percent to reach QR588.40bn as compared to QR583.82bn at the end of previous week.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value last week with 52.15 percent of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 27.86 percent. Industries sector accounted for 8.27 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 4.40 percent, reports QNA.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume last week with 50.72 percent of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 33.06 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 5.64 percent and Industries sector accounted 5.40 percent.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions last week with 47.46 percent of the total number of transactions. Real Estate sector accounted for 27.56 percent. Industries sector accounted for 10.18 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 6.42 percent.

From the 45 listed companies 27 ended last week higher, while 16 fell and shares of two companies remained unchanged.

Barwa Real Estate led trading value during last week accounted for 23.54 percent of the total traded value. Doha Bank accounted for 17.97 percent and QNB accounted for 15.68 percent.

When compared on daily basis, the QSE index gained 34.93 points, or 0.34 percent, compared to Wednesday's closing.

The volume of shares traded yesterday decreased to 34.31 million from 7.58 million on Wednesday and the value of shares also decreased to QR1.16bn from QR243.58m on Wednesday.
