Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Participates in International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People

Cairo, Nov 28, 2018, SPA -- Saudi ambassador to Egypt Osama bin Ahmed Nugali, who is also the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the Arab League, participated here today in celebrations of the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People, prescribed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 2 December 1977.
In remarks on the occasion, the Saudi Ambassador pointed out to the statement issued today by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) regarding the signing of a grant memorandum amounting to USD 50 million, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), adding that the memorandum aims at alleviating the suffering of more than three million Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank, and Palestinian refugees in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of education, health, relief and protection.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, a number of permanent delegates to the League of Arab States, foreign ambassadors accredited to Egypt, and Arab and international organizations.
