Morocco calls on Algeria to announce its stand on King's initiative

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Morocco asked Algeria on Monday to announce its official stand regarding the Moroccan King's initiative through establishing a political mechanism for dialogue and coordination between both countries to solve the disputes crippling their relations.
The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in its statement that the Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita expressed his countries desire to know the official stand of Algeria.
The ministry assured that the Moroccan initiative which had been widely acknowledged by a number of States and regional and international organizations comes from a sincere will to create a framework for direct bilateral dialogue without set terms in order to eliminate any conflicts between the two countries.
Morocco is open to all suggestions from Algeria concerning the planning and agenda for the bilateral dialogue, added the statement.
Algeria requested a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Morocco without any relation to the Moroccan initiative to discuss purely bilateral relations under the framework of resumption of regional construction.
Adding, Morocco is not objecting anything, as a principle to hold a meeting and does not doubt that this meeting will result in very obtainable results.
The Moroccan King Mohammad VI called for discourse marking the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Green March to create a common political mechanism for dialogue and coordination in an attempt to solve all issues and conflicts between Morocco and Algeria. (end)
